Course 1 - RNR 140
Overview -
Project NAVIGATE's first course, RNR 140- Introduction to Geospatial Concepts and Naval Applications, is a 1-Unit introduction to geospatial thinking, remote sensing, and geospatial technology and software. This course will provide students with background information and techniques relevant to defense and US Navy applications. Students will learn many topics and techniques such as how to read a map, collect geospatial data in the field, use ArcGIS online, and identify some of the many uses of Remote Sensing. Students will be guided to develop possible project ideas to be explored in the second course RNR 142- Geospatial Research Practicum for Naval Applications.
